My Favorite Destination
I’m really fond of Remedios. I tend to prefer towns to big cities, they’re more manageable and I think you can get to know and understand them much better than you can with sprawling metropolises. I’ve had lots of fun experiences in Remedios (see below!) and now have some great friends there.
My Best Experience
Parrandas in Remedios, the largest and oldest carnival in the Caribbean. It’s a real spectacle and anyone in Cuba around Christmas time shouldn’t miss the opportunity to see it. The lights, costumes, dancing, and overall atmosphere are just amazing, everyone gets involved. There’s a fireworks competition too!
