My Favorite Destination
I’m a huge fan of colonial architecture and it’s very hard to compete with Trinidad in that department. The buildings in the center, particularly around Plaza Major, are incredibly grand. It’s fun to imagine the sort of lives their original owners had.
My Best Experience
Probably arriving in Cuba for the very first time, it felt like I’d taken a plane to the 1950s. I had arranged to be picked up and a bright-red vintage Chevrolet showed up. Cruising past Art Deco masterpieces, colorful wall murals, and colonial palaces, I couldn’t believe my luck.
