Closed off and inaccessible, exotic and unknown; Cuba achieved an almost cult-like status amongst travelers from around the globe. Though its doors are opening to more and more visitors, Cuba’s irresistible appeal hasn’t faded. The Caribbean’s largest island serves as a melting pot of cultures and environments, captivating wide audiences with a variety of tastes. It cities provide an intoxicating mix of music, architecture and history while its gorgeous coastline is home to breathtaking vistas and idyllic resorts. Below are a few highlights from our experience:

Coast
Guardalavaca
Stunningly beautiful, unmistakably Cuban and totally laidback, Guardalavaca is paradise found. It enjoys a more tranquil and authentic charm than many of Cuba’s busier seaside towns, though the beaches are no less beautiful. Inland, lies miles of pristine countryside while a huge coral reef sits just a few miles off shore, teeming with color and life.

The Cayos
The Cayos encompass a chain of islands and keys scattered just off Cuba’s north coast. Also known as the Jardines del Rey, or Gardens of the King, they offer a rich assortment of flora and along with miles of unspoilt coastline. The calm, crystal-clear waters that surround the Cayos make them a popular destination for snorkelling and diving.

Cities
Havana
Vibrant, bustling and occasionally bewildering, Havana sports a unique and irresistible charm. Colourful colonial constructions are accompanied by fearsome fortresses and a picturesque natural harbour. The UNESCO World Heritage listed old town encompasses most of the city’s tourist attractions but the whole metropolis is a wonder, packed with lively music venues, theatres, art galleries, and of course the protagonists of this story, charismatic Habaneros.

Trinidad
One of the Americas' best-preserved colonial cities, a trip to Trinidad feels an awful lot like a trip back in time. Grand mansions tower over cobbled streets and pretty squares, serving as evidence of the city's historical sugar industry riches. As well as being a delight in itself, Trinidad boasts convenient access to a number of excursion sights, including the Valley de Los Ingenios, Escambray Mountains and Playa Ancon.
